Developed in 1983 by Dr. Howard Gardner, this theory suggests that the traditional idea of intelligents that people commonly have, based on the I.Q testing, is not completely right. The doctor established 8 different intelligences in order to analyze a wider potential in adults and children. These intelligences are the following:
- Linguistic intelligence ("word smart")
- Logical-mathematical intelligence ("number/reasoning smart")
- Spatial intelligence ("picture smart")
- Bodily-Kinesthetic intelligence ("body smart")
- Musical intelligence ("music smart")
- Interpersonal intelligence ("people smart")
- Intrapersonal intelligence ("self smart")
- Naturalist intelligence ("nature smart")
Also, depending on what you want to learn or teach, you can take in to account the following information:
- words (linguistic intelligence)
- numbers or logic (logical-mathematical intelligence)
- pictures (spatial intelligence)
- music (musical intelligence)
- self-reflection (intrapersonal intelligence)
- a physical experience (bodily-kinesthetic intelligence)
- a social experience (interpersonal intelligence), and/or
- an experience in the natural world. (naturalist intelligence)
Awesome!! This information is very interesting.. Nice...
